Our goal is to inspire charitable donations to fund and help place AEDs in our communities, prioritizing AED distribution to sites of greatest risk of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) such as local schools, school gymnasiums, public recreational facilities, amateur team athletics and more.
Donations to help fund new AEDs can come into Racing Hearts a number of ways. These include contributions from both individual and private organizations as well as from our partnerships with regional and state-driven competitive athletic events where participants can opt to make a donation during a registration process.
As Racing Hearts receives charitable donations, our organization puts these dollars to work by passing them through to in-need community organizations along with a recommended 5-step ‘blueprint’ for groups to use as they purchase, train, and install-for-use an AED device.
The placement of AEDs in public places is supported by the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Association, the American Heart Association, the American Red Cross, the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Association, and The California State PTA. Additionally…
